I am deeply committed to advancing and protecting the rights of all individuals, which is why I will fight to bring back and codify Roe v. Wade. Every woman deserves the fundamental right to make her own decisions about her body without interference from politicians or the government. By restoring and enshrining Roe v. Wade into federal law, we can ensure that reproductive freedom is protected nationwide providing consistency, equality, and security for all women, no matter where they live.
I will also fight for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to guarantee full constitutional equality for women. The ERA is long overdue. Its passage would make it clear that equality under the law cannot be denied or abridged on the basis of sex ensuring that women’s rights are permanently safeguarded in our Constitution, not left vulnerable to political shifts.
In addition, I am committed to closing the pay gap and ending workplace discrimination. It is unacceptable that wage disparities persist based on gender, race, or any other factor unrelated to job performance. I support strong legislation to enforce equal pay for equal work, increase transparency in wage practices, and strengthen penalties for those who violate equal pay laws.
Combating workplace discrimination is essential for creating an inclusive, respectful, and productive economy. I advocate for stronger enforcement of anti-discrimination protections and improved systems that allow workers to safely report and resolve unfair treatment.
By restoring Roe v. Wade, fighting for the Equal Rights Amendment, and ensuring fair pay and workplace equality, we can move toward a nation where everyone has the freedom and opportunity to thrive free from discrimination, inequality, or political interference in their most personal rights.
